The papers come through the US mail now. Didn't get a paper for 4 weeks. Called to cancel but they never cancelled it. Called back to cancel it again and they didn't cancel it. Took the money from my checking account and won't refund it. Thieves!

My online subscription, which I rarely read, renewed this week at about double last year’s rate ($104). No advance notice email for price increase. As you’ve read on here, cancelling was very difficult. When I finally got it cancelled, I was told there’d be no refund. However, if I wanted to stay on as a customer they’d put in for a refund of the difference of new rate versus last year’s price. Hoping that smaller refund actually happens.

Make sure you cancel before it auto-renews!

If I could give negative stars I would. My elderly parents subscribed to the paper 8-23-22 and were told home delivery would begin 8-26-22. It is now 9-15-22 and they have yet to receive a single paper. "Customer service" is a joke. They read their script saying the issue will be escalated until resolved. Conversations with 6 supervisors has been useless as well. One actually suggested one of my parents elderly neighbors in their senior living center is stealing their paper, even though they admit they have not routed it properly. Unbelievable incompetence.

Don’t subscribe!! If you ever decide you want to cancel, it’s very difficult. They don’t answer the phone, emails or the online chat!
Once you are able to finally cancel, they call daily trying to get you to resubscribe.
I’ve never had a worse experience with a company.

Paywall. I'm not going to give you money for a simulated newspaper. Newspapers are made of paper, with news printed on it.
Subscriptions are to pay the cost of printing and distribution of paper. Advertising brings in the profits. That's how newspapers work.
So now you have no reader and no ad money, I have no paper, and I'll see ads as I read news from another online source.

August 2016 the door-to-door guy comes by trying to get us to take the paper.... $25 for 8 weeks. We say, "No thanks, we get our news online." He says "C'mon, if I get one more I get a bonus. I'll give it to you for $15 for 8 weeks." We say, "Ok, I guess we might use the coupons." So after about 10 weeks they start calling asking us to extend our subscription. We say "No, didn't read it, don't want it. Stop calling." They call every day, sometimes twice a day for at least 6 weeks. Pure harassment. Then, we get a letter in the mail saying we owe them $32.50. Sent them back a nice letter saying "No we don't, please go away." Now, Feb 2017, and they've turned it over to collection. So now I'm fighting the collection agency. Bottom line, do not take the paper ever under any circumstances. These guys are crooks. Apparently they can't pay their bills through legitimate means, so they've restored to fraud and extortion.

We got a call in August saying if we signed up for the paper that we would receive a $200 Walmart card. We still have not received it and it is now November. I have called every week since we signed up asking about the card and they say the same thing every time that it will take 24 to 48 hours and they will process it and send a card. They have said this every week since the time we signed up. I feel like all we're getting is the run around. I will not be renewing my paper

What is wrong with these people? Bought 6 months through Groupon. That expired and I no longer wanted subscription so I didn't renew. Numerous nasty calls to renew, still said no. Now a collection agency calls threatening me. Beware of this newspaper gimmick. Sure not a way to get subscribers.
